Dyslexia Advocacy Week: 17-23 March 2014

SPELD NZ has friendly, professional assessors and local teachers available to work with learners of all ages who have a Specific Learning Disability such as Dyslexia. SPELD NZ qualified teachers have specialist training and work one-on-one with students to provide an individual programme which targets their specific needs. Financial assistance is possible for families on low incomes.
TV3 will be screening a documentary – The Big Picture; Rethinking Dyslexia – on Sunday 16 March at 11.55 am. Children, parents and teachers who watch this movie will find courage in learning that, while dyslexia can be a barrier to learning, it also carries some unique advantages!
