Whangaparaoa College Music Information Evening

Whangaparaoa College will be holding their annual Music Information Evening in the school Auditorium on Thursday 5th November from 6 – 7.30pm

If your child is interested in learning a musical instrument at the college during 2016, they will be able to register their interest and find out more general information. They will also be able to try playing different instruments and watch performances given the school’s talented junior musicians.

Seasons – Supporting People Who Are Coping With Loss and Change in Their Lives


Enrolments are now being accepted for Term 4 programmes. 
Seasons is a social service that runs peer support groups for children, teenagers, and adults who are missing someone important from their daily life due to a death, separation/ divorce, or other major change such as imprisonment of a family member, moving to a new location, etc.
Seasons groups meet for a one-hour session, once a week over 8 weeks, either during the school day, after school, or evenings.  Groups are usually 3-5 people of similar age, with one or two trained adult Companions as facilitators.  A donation of $25 per participant is encouraged to cover the cost of materials used over the 8 weeks.

SPECIAL JAMJAR STUDIO MOVIE NIGHT
Due to popular demand we are having another MOVIE NIGHT! Saturday 12th September at JamJar Studio drop the kids to us and enjoy some well deserved time out! $10 per child.  They will receive either a water/juice and crisps on arrival PLUS enjoy watching BIG HERO 6! Bring along cash also for baking and other goodies. Money raised goes towards helping some of our amazing Green Door Youth Theatre students fundraise for our trip to London in July 2016. Tickets NOT for sale prior to the event - door sales only. So just drop the kids to us and enjoy a couple of hours to yourself.

Creative Children's Art Classes

Paint with local artist & kindergarten teacher Jo Bain on Fridays at 3.30pm.
