Special Bees Playgroups

We are very lucky to have a special attendee at our playgroup.  Lucy is a 2 year old golden retriever and is part of the Outreach Therapy Pets program run by St Johns and the SPCA. Lucy is gentle and welcoming and offers children another opportunity for interaction where standard toys and activities might not suit.

Seasons - Supporting Children Living With Loss

Seasons is a social service that runs peer support groups for children aged 5 - 13 years who are missing someone important from their daily life due to a death, the separation or divorce of their parents, or other major family change.

Seasons groups meet for a one hour session, once a week, over 9 weeks.  The groups are small, usually just three or four children of similar age, with one to two trained adults who use a wide range of activities, stories, artwork and games to encourage the sharing of experiences.  Topics include feelings, telling our stories, memories, change, strengths and resources.  For more information please contact Megan Bowden, Phone: 09 410 5117 or email: seasonsnorthshore@gmail.com

The Bruce Mason Centre Presents - Aladdin

This July join the Phineas Phrog team as they present their brand new production of Aladdin!  Poor Aladdin can do nothing right, his mother is always cross at him, he has no money and no prospects - but he doesn't let anything get him down.  He is looking for an adventure and instead finds a rusty old lamp.  But don't be deceived by appearance, magic can be found in the strangest of places!

Phineas Phrog celebrates its eleventh year at the Bruce Mason Centre with a sparkling new show! Full of physical comedy, musical mayhem and magical delights this theatrical produciton will delight youngsters and their grown-ups alike.  For fifty minutes of fun-filled family entertainment you cna't beat Aladdin!
